2nd september arrive in alice springs.

had a pretty good sleep on the train as i said i had 4 seats all to myself. so i could spread out.

Arrived in alice spring, at around 11:15. OMG we had the commentry again for katherine playing again, apparently they like to play it again even though we are nowhere near katherine, incase people missed it last time. Dam the voice is so monotone and annoying.

So got off the ghan train, i heard a french guy no the train say he was going to "toddy's" which is my hostel, so i got talking to him, i was calling him dale for a whole day, turns out he was called gale. nevermind he seemed to still answer me.

So we got to toddys, not a bad place, rather cleanish and has a nice little pool. Gale wanted to go pay for his 3 day trip to ayers rock, katatua and valley of kings. which is the same trip i am doing with a company called "the rock".

turns out he is going on monday tomorrow. i also meet a dutch girl on the litchfield trip who is also going monday, so i think i will try to change my day, as i already know 2 people.

went down to the rock tour shop. they are happy for me to change the day from tuesday to monday. sweet i go tomorrow. actually everyone in the shop about 7 were all going on monday. so i already meet quite a few of them, irish paul, amerian liz, seem really nice. rather friendly and look like they are up for a laugh. this should be a good trip.

So for the rest of the day i got back to toddy's stayed round the pool for a while. wow it is freezing, which is nice in this heat, but can't stay in the long.

got talking to an english girl linda, wow she is fine. is with her b/f doh !!!! also was talking to a tour guide who lives in toddys called jeff, he is austrlian. nice bloke.

went and got some sausages and chips with gale, had a little bbq. dam we neverhad 20 bucks between us for a saucepan so we did the beans on the bbq in the tin. Dam that takes ages.

but was rather nice, nothing special, but cheap, which is what i like. australia is expensive to asia. dam expensive, not england expensive but close.

Had an early night, actually watched diehard 4.0 again that i brought in china. haha 50 pence. sweet. not a bad film. it's die hard !!!!!

got to get up at 6am tomorrow. nice
