2nd day part 2.

didn;'t do alot today, mainly was being shown the area by ben the bloke i meet from america, he is ok, i think he is full of shit, but hey who isn't.

was rather interesting walking around it seems where ever you go, you can find something interesting too look at, that you have never seen before.

Went down to the local high street i suppose you would call it. And because it was the 10th year anniversay of england giving hongkong back, there was loads of things going on. First we went and watch some local women from down south down a traditional dance, that was quite good, athough all they actually do is kick step kick step step kick step. and then go round in a circle, and do the same thing. Then i heard what i can only assume is the chinese anthem. no idea what it was all about, but seems rather nice.

From there went down to tiananmen square which is hugh, i know it is the biggest square thing in the world, but dam it is rather impressive. Thing that gets me about china, is where ever you go just walk around saying no thanks, no want. in chinese, yes i can say a few things !!!! as there is so many traders, selling shit. nevermind i kind of expected it, but i had about 6 people approach me in the spaec of about 30 sec. i will say boi she (no thanks) everywhere i go.
Just really walked around the square, lots of chinese as it was the 10th anniversary as i saidn earlier. so lots of groups, people flying kites, however you if you stay in one place for more then a min and you have 3 or more people the guards send you on. mmmm i wonder why that happens in the square !!! (sarcasm).

Next walk through the forbidden city, ouch how big is that. the emporer lived there with his 3000 concubines, and about 5000 servents, so you can imagine how big. I didn't actually go round the city just walked through the bits that were, free. gonna go in another day.

one thing didn happen tho, i sat on a wall just to roll a ciggie, and i then had about 6 chinese people round me, they were fascinated ( hope that spelled right, one of these days i will learn engrish (yes i meant that)) i then gave a few rolls away, and watch all the chinese cough there guts up, as they are a lot strong then they have.

Then i went for a stroll, know where really just round the block (kind of) found a nice little garden outside the only christain church in beijing, looks like a mini pauls cathedrual. anyway there was about 15 skateboards just out front, so i sat and watched them for about 2 hrs,. none where that good, but one was ok. actually what made me laugh was most of them were late teens earlier 20's, i guess. and typicall i 10year old come up in a helmet, and wipes the floor with all of them, was good to watch.

one thing to note in china, people aren't friendly and will not talk to you. so when some random person does you have to wonder why. Well it turns out all of them are chinese art students, and they have a gallery just round the corner and you should go see them, it is not normalyy art, blah blah blah blah. I must admit, good old ben told me about them, but they only come up to you if your alone, which makes me think they are gonna get me round the corner and mugg me. hence i don't go. actually in the space fo 30mine i had 7 tell me they had gallerys near and i should go see...... so by the end of it, i was telling them i was an art student and they should come see my art, well once you say that and before they have even said they are, guess what they get up and go away. one was quite funny his name was kevin!!! yeah i chinese bloke in china called kevin !!! sounds strange to me, should he be called wong or something, anyway he actually chatted to me for abuot 20 mins. about england and all this stuff telling me he was a majoring in english, but as soon as i told him i was an art student he fucked off. yeah nice try "kevin". so i am learning quick.

Ok i should of said it was beautiful weather, apparting they first time alot of people had actually seen a blue sky in beijing, due to all the pollution, so i feel rather pleased that i was able to see it. Anyway seen as it was realy really hot and i was sweating like a pig, wnet back to hostel, just to chill and get some nice air con. While sitting there i meet a women callerd leanne from canada, seem really nice, talks alot but hey thats women for you !!!! anyway ben leanne and myself went for the famous beijing duck, which to me and you is crispy duck, same as back home really the duck was better i think, which i find very strange.

Then we decided to go to the night market. wow that is something to see. will post a pic in the next blog as it would look funny on this. Check it out. Didn't try anything,. just went and had a look. bloody hell it stinks. my sister clair would not of been able to walk down it. so much seafood. i nearly felt sick.

then just went back chilled out.
